The Czech Republic lies in the center of Europe and is often considered the gateway to Western Europe. Approximately 10 million people live in this country

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and has about 1.2 million inhabitants. For most, living and working in Prague offers a more relaxed life. The pace of life in Prague and particularly the Czech Republic is significantly slower than the United States and England. To many the Czech people seem distant and can come off as cold, but once you get to know them they become very friendly. The Czech language is considered one of the most difficult in the world and is wrongfully said to be a waste of time to learn because of this difficulty and because most people in Prague speak some English. Although grasping the language is difficult, I would strongly recommend learning at least the basics if you intend to continue living in the Czech Republic. It will make your life a lot simpler.
