1. Course Requirements
1.1. We accept applications from anyone who wants to teach English to foreign learners and who speaks English proficiently. Applicants must be over the age of 18. Applicants must have the ability to do university-level coursework.
1.2. After submitting the application form we will process your application and you will be notified of your acceptance within 2 business day.
1.3. University degree is not required for this course. However your ability to explain grammar (as proven in the questionnaire), your experience, and your academic background may be taken into account.
2. Course Graduation
2.1. Every trainee who successfully completes the course (grade A, B or C) will be given a TEFL certificate and becomes an EFL Teacher.
2.2. Trainees who are awarded with grade A will be given the opportunity to work directly for Tutor, s.r.o. without further testing. Nonetheless every successful graduate gets the opportunity to interview to work for us and will be given a job depending on current openings.
2.3. Tutor, s.r.o. reserves the right to award grade D (course failure) to some students. This might be either because of insufficient performance in the course or because of inappropriate conduct, abusing or damaging school property, or inadmissible manners with the fellow trainees, trainers, Tutor staff, or any person associated with Tutor, s.r.o. No refund or any portion thereof will be given.
2.4. However In the event of a trainee failing to successfully graduate from the Course the Trainee will receive further guidance and depending upon the nature of the failure, a chance to re-take a part.
3. Payment Methods
3.1. Tutor, s.r.o. offers several different ways to pay the deposit and the outstanding balance:
a. On-line payment by credit or debit card via a secure form
b. Bank transfer
c. Cash at the school (time frame specified in paragraph 4.3 and 4.4 still applies)
d. Credit or debit card at the school (time frame specified in paragraph 4.3 and 4.4 still applies)
3.2. All transactions are processed in Czech crowns. Therefore payments made in another currency will be converted to Czech crowns according to the exchange rate published daily by the Czech National Bank.
4. Deposits
4.1. Upon receiving a confirmation letter (as specified in paragraph 1.2), we will require a deposit of 350 Euros or equivalent in another currency.
4.2. If paid in cash we accept only CZK (Czech crowns).
4.3. The deposit must be paid within 1 week of notification to secure a place in the course. If the start date of the course is less than 32 working days the deposit is to be paid immediately.
4.4. If the course starts in less than 26 working days the whole course fee is to be paid within 1 working day.
4.5. Upon receiving the deposit we will send you notification confirming acceptance and reservation of your place in the course.
5. Payment
5.1. The outstanding balance of the course fee (course fee minus deposit) must be received no later than 25 working days before the first day of the course.
5.2. Should the balance not reach us on time you will automatically be placed on a reserve list and risk losing your place if someone pays in full before you. There will be no right to a refund of your deposit. However you may transfer the deposit to any future course within one year – 50 euros transfer fee applies.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
6.1. If the deposit is not paid within the time interval specified in paragraph 4, Tutor, s.r.o. has the right to cancel the placement.
6.2. If the outstanding balance is not paid within the time interval specified in paragraph 5.1, Tutor, s.r.o. has the right to cancel the placement without refunding the deposit.
6.3. If for any reason you wish to subsequently cancel your place in the Course after your part or full fees (i.e. deposit plus balance) have been paid, Tutor, s.r.o. cannot provide any refund except for exceptional circumstances. The Course organizer's decision is final.
6.4. The deposit is non-refundable but can be used for any future course within one year. The reason for this is that the staffing for the Course and accommodation have fixed costs which have to be paid in advance and based on a specific number of course members in the group.
6.5. Tutor, s.r.o. reserves the right to cancel a course if a serious reason occurs. In this case all trainees concerned will be notified immediately and they will have the option of transferring the balance and deposit to another course date or to get all course payments paid to Tutor, s.r.o. will be refunded. If there are no places available in the chosen course, all course payments to Tutor, s.r.o. made will be refunded.
7. Personal Data Policy
All personal information submitted to Tutor, s.r.o. shall be kept highly confidential. This data helps to provide a better service to you. We do not give the personal data of Tutor, s.r.o. to any third parties unless it has been agreed with the Trainee of whom the data is concerned.
